BRG-USA Elite 9mm -The 4 Wheel Drive Of Firearms
Having worked in the firearms industry for 25 years it is not unusual to be presented firearms from upstart companies. What is unusual is being impressed. Let me introduce you to the new BRG USA BRG Elite 9 manufactured in Turkey and imported by the Buffalo Cartridge company of Findley Ohio.
Who is BRG? Burgue Metal was founded by Fatih Dogru in 2013 manufacturing parts and finished products for the defense industry. In 2019 BRG began the research and development required to manufacture 9mm pistols and 5.56x45mm AR15 rifles. As demand ramps up BRG is focused on opening additional manufacturing facilities in other countries including the USA.
Many of you are most likely familiar with Buffalo Cartridge but for those who are not they were founded in 2013 in Findley Ohio. In 2013 many retailers and shooting ranges were having a difficult time obtaining ammo. Buffalo Cartridge helped fill the void by manufacturing target ammo and soon expanded into hunting, competition, and cowboy action ammunition as well. In 2020 they added importing to their business strategy ultimately leading to the introduction of Buffalo Cartridge and BRG. In 2021 Buffalo Cartridge became the exclusive importer of BRG firearms.
Having always been a fan of the Springfield XD9 I was intrigued when viewing the BRG Elite 9 online for the first time. My initial thought was that it was most likely a cheap knock off. When given the opportunity to handle the Elite 9 several days ago I realized how wrong my initial assumption was. Folks this is the real deal! The 4-wheel drive of handguns. Rock solid quality with a lower retail than the XD9.
Using 4140 steel is the industry standard when building handguns. The Elite 9 is made from 4340 steel. What that means for the consumer is it has a higher nickel content, is stronger, less susceptible to wear and more durable. This also virtually eliminates stress fractures and cracking. Featuring a very strong dual stage recoil spring and 80-millimeter steel rail vs a polymer rails this gun is made to last! In addition, the Elite 9 has a 5# trigger with a very crisp break and short reset making it a fun, stable and balanced.
