Introducing The Springfield Hellion

Since 1974 Springfield Armory has been producing firearms fueled by an obsession for improvement cementing its reputation in American Firearms. Today we would like to introduce you to the newest member of the team the “Hellion” the all-new 5.56 bullpup rifle. The solution for ballistic performance on a short platform with an overall length of just 28.25” and a 16” barrel. The Hellion is ambidextrous and has a reversible case ejection system allowing the firearm to be easily shot from either shoulder. The result, a 5.56 that combines performance with portability.

Springfield designed the Hellion after the internationally proven VHS-2 bullpup. The VHS-2 has been used by the Croatian armed forces in countries ranging from Africa to Iraq. The Hellion offer integrated spring-loaded flip up sights that quickly pop in position and lock solidly. The Hellion also offers picatinny rail that runs the entire length of the firearm allowing you to mount optics of your choice. The Hellion also has an adjustable stock, accepts standard AR-15 grips, and is designed to feed from AR-pattern magazines. The Hellion’s hammer forged barrel has a 1:7 rate of twist and a Melonite coating ensuring amazing downrange performance. In addition, the Hellion has an adjustable gas system that will ensure the maximum performance regardless of conditions or ammo selection.
