SportDOG Roy Gonia Mega Dog Training Whistle with Pea

The SportDOG Roy Gonia Mega Whistle is a practical signaling tool for handlers who need clear, consistent communication with a dog at extended distances. Intended for hunting, field training, trailing, and other outdoor dog work, this model combines the familiar trill of a pea whistle with an enlarged, forward-facing sound chamber. That chamber directs the whistle’s output ahead of the handler rather than allowing the strongest sound to remain close to the ears, making the design especially useful during repeated training commands. Its louder, long-range configuration is well suited to open fields, distant blinds, and wet or windy conditions where a standard whistle may be more difficult for a working dog to hear. The easy-to-blow design allows the handler to produce recognizable signals for recall, direction changes, stops, and other commands established through training. Because this is an audible training whistle rather than a silent or ultrasonic model, the handler can hear each signal and maintain a consistent whistle pattern. The black housing surrounds a high-visibility orange mouthpiece that is easy to identify among other field equipment. A metal attachment ring provides a convenient point for connecting the whistle to a compatible lanyard, clip, or gear tether, helping keep it accessible while moving through cover or working around water. The Roy Gonia Mega is the pea-equipped version, producing a lower-pitched trill that carries farther than close-work whistle signals. Compact and lightweight enough for routine field carry, it offers a straightforward, non-electronic way to reinforce trained commands without relying on shouting. This exact black-and-orange configuration is SportDOG manufacturer part number SAC00-11748 and is supplied as one Roy Gonia Mega dog training whistle.
