The Ruger AR-556 starts off with 7075-T6 Aluminum forged upper and lower receivers and those receivers are coated with a Type III hard coat anodized finish. Next off you a treated to a 16" barrel which features a 1:8" twist rate perfect for just about any of your favorite .223 Remington or 5.56 NATO loads. The AR-556 features a carbine length direct gas impingement system ideal for just about any type of shooting.
