The Primus Essential Stove System 1.3L is a compact outdoor cooking kit designed to give one to three campers a practical stove, cookware and handling accessories in one packable system. Its remote-canister arrangement keeps the fuel supply separate from the burner, creating a low center of gravity that helps provide a stable cooking platform at camp. The 2,000-watt Laminar Flow Burner is enclosed by an effective windscreen and offers adjustable flame control for boiling water, heating soup, preparing pasta and handling other trail meals. Two 1.3-liter anodized aluminum pots provide flexibility when preparing more than one part of a meal, then nest together with the remaining components to conserve backpack space. A ceramic nonstick-coated lid also serves as a frying pan, making it useful for cooking eggs, pancakes, fish or vegetables without requiring another piece of cookware. The included pot gripper allows either pot or the frying pan to be lifted and moved without permanently attached handles taking up packing room. A foldable heat reflector is supplied to help complete the cooking setup, while the nylon storage bag keeps the nested components together between uses. The assembled system measures 198 mm in diameter and 90 mm high and has a published product weight of 822 grams, balancing cooking versatility with a manageable trail load. The burner can boil one liter of water in approximately four minutes and thirty seconds under the manufacturer’s test conditions.
