Midland X-TALKER T51SLV Two-Way Radios 22-Channel 2-Pack

Description

The Midland X-TALKER T51SLV two-way radio set provides a practical way to keep two people connected while camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, traveling, working around a property or coordinating activities where cellular service may be inconvenient or unavailable. This package contains two compact black FRS handheld radios that operate without an individual FCC license and provide 22 channels for communicating with compatible radios. Thirty-eight CTCSS privacy codes help users separate their group from other conversations taking place on the same channel, while the scan function makes it easier to locate active transmissions. Midland advertises a maximum range of up to 36 miles under optimal open-terrain conditions; actual range will vary substantially with terrain, buildings, vegetation, weather and other obstructions. The eVOX function supports voice-activated, hands-free transmission when holding the push-to-talk control is not practical. Additional operating controls include call alert, channel monitoring, a roger beep, silent operation and a keypad lock that helps prevent accidental setting changes. A built-in battery meter and low-battery indicator provide a quick view of remaining power. Each radio can run on the included rechargeable NiMH battery pack or three AAA alkaline batteries, allowing users to carry commonly available backup power when access to charging is limited. The supplied split micro-USB cable can connect both radios for charging from a suitable USB power source, while the included belt clips keep the units accessible during outdoor activities or daily tasks. An external speaker and microphone connection also allows use with compatible audio accessories. Rated IPX4 for water resistance, the radios are designed to tolerate splashing encountered during typical outdoor use but should not be submerged. This complete two-radio configuration offers straightforward group communication, flexible power options and essential calling controls in an easy-to-carry package.
