The Leupold Standard mounting system is the most versatile mounting system that Leupold manufacturers. The rear ring is secured by a Windage adjustment screw allowing you to preserve precocious Windage adjustment in the scope for an extremely accurate sight in. In addition shims can be used (sold separately) for elevation adjustment which reserves yours scopes mechanical elevation adjustment system. Designed to work in conjunction with Leupold standard rings (sold separately) these forged and machined scope bases allow you the mounting perfect platform for your specific rifle. Don't get stuck using some other brand, stick with Leupold for all your optics and optics mounting needs.
