Duke HD Medium Single-Door Live Cage Trap 26 x 9 x 9 Inches

Description

The Duke HD Medium Cage Trap is a heavy-duty live-catch solution for property owners, wildlife-control professionals and trappers who need a practical way to capture large squirrels, rabbits or skunks. This exact medium model measures 26 inches long by 9 inches wide by 9 inches high, providing useful interior room while remaining manageable for placement near gardens, sheds, outbuildings, fence lines and other areas where nuisance animals travel. Its single-door design uses an all-steel rod gravity-drop door operated by a pressure-sensitive pan trigger. When an animal enters and steps on the pan, the door drops into position, and two gravity locking rings help keep it secured. The door and release arrangement also allows the cage to be rolled over for hands-free opening, helping the operator maintain additional distance from the captured animal. Construction includes a 14-gauge welded-wire perimeter and a reinforced internal steel rod frame for the strength needed during repeated outdoor use. Closely spaced mesh around the bait area helps limit an animal’s ability to reach through the cage and remove bait without entering, while the open-wire construction provides clear visibility for monitoring the trap. A protective cover surrounds the top carrying handle to provide separation between the user’s hand and the cage interior during transport. The green powder-coated finish gives the steel cage a low-profile appearance that blends more naturally with grass, brush and other outdoor surroundings. This trap is supplied as one complete medium single-door cage trap and is intended for live capture rather than lethal trapping. Select a suitable location, bait and placement for the target species, inspect the trap regularly after setting it, and follow all applicable state and local wildlife regulations regarding trapping, handling and relocation.
