CobraTec Medium FS-3 OTF Knife 3" Tanto Plain Edge OD Green

The CobraTec Medium FS-3 is a dual-action out-the-front automatic knife sized for everyday carry, routine utility cutting and outdoor use. This exact configuration combines an OD green Cerakote-finished handle with a 3-inch, non-serrated tanto blade made from D2 steel. The plain edge offers an uninterrupted cutting surface, while the angular tanto profile provides a defined secondary point and a reinforced-looking tip geometry suited to controlled utility work. A single top-mounted control operates both deployment and retraction, allowing the blade to move in either direction without manually handling it. The knife measures 8 inches overall when open, including the glass breaker, and uses a 4.5-inch handle made from high-grade aluminum alloy. Its medium dimensions balance useful blade length with a form that remains practical for pocket carry. The pocket clip can be moved to either side of the handle, accommodating right- or left-handed carry preferences and helping the knife adapt to different pocket arrangements. A glass breaker is integrated at the end of the handle for emergency use, and a nylon sheath is included as an alternative to clipped pocket carry. CobraTec OTF knives also incorporate an obstruction safety function that prevents the blade from fully deploying when its path is blocked; the blade must then be pulled into its locked position to reset the mechanism. At 6.3 ounces, this FS-3 has a substantial feel without moving into the dimensions of CobraTec’s larger version. The combination of a plain-edge D2 tanto blade, dual-action mechanism, reversible clip and visible OD green finish makes this variant easy to identify and practical for users who want a medium automatic knife with straightforward controls. Owners should confirm applicable state and local laws before carrying or using an automatic knife.
