Cashion Rods worked with Elite Series pro, John Crews to design the Cashion John Crews Signature Series Spinning Rod. Built to be the perfect dropshot rod, it has an extremely fast, forgiving tip that delivers maximum action to your bait, allows fish to take the bait in their mouth before you set the hook, and prevents line breakage with light lines.
Instead of the typical medium light or medium actions found in most drop shot rods, Crews found the medium heavy action paired with the soft tip allowed him to fish with more confidence in deep water and around cover. The medium heavy action offers increased sensitivity as well because the blank is denser, and it also provides more power for taking up line and controlling fish, especially when fishing in deeper water. The 7'4" of length also provides more leverage combined with the longer handle design. It features Cashion's Counter Balance Weight design in the butt as well, which makes it feel heavier than normal without the reel, but once the reel is added it actually makes rod feel lighter in your hands.
Fuji "tweener" #5 guides offer the perfect balance between micro guides and conventional guides, and the uplocking Fuji reel seat provides a comfortable base for your reel.
