The Roots & Harvest SureSeal Vacuum Sealer is a countertop food-preservation appliance designed for hunters, home food processors, gardeners and cooks who want an efficient way to package meat, fish, produce, prepared meals and leftovers. By drawing air from compatible textured vacuum bags and heat-sealing the open edge, it helps prepare food for organized refrigerator or freezer storage while reducing exposure to air. Its controls provide automatic vacuum-and-seal operation for routine packaging, a moist mode for foods containing additional liquid, and pulse control that lets the user manage the vacuum applied to delicate or easily crushed items. A side canister port also allows the machine to work with compatible external containers when the necessary hose and accessory are used. The 12.6-inch seal bar accommodates bag material up to 12 inches wide and creates a 5 mm seal. A SureSeal guide in the vacuum chamber assists with positioning the open end of the bag before starting a cycle. The locking lid is arranged for convenient one-handed operation, while intuitive illuminated controls make it easier to select and monitor each function. Silicone gaskets resist compression and can be removed for cleaning, and the vacuum chamber lifts out to simplify cleanup after packaging moist foods. The detachable magnetic roll holder includes a cutter for preparing custom-length bags and can be removed when additional working room is helpful. An 8-inch by 20-foot roll of vacuum bag material is supplied with the unit, allowing it to be placed into service without purchasing a separate starter roll. Measuring 16.25 inches long, 11.5 inches wide and 3.5 inches high, the plastic-housing sealer can be stored on its side when counter space is limited. It uses 180 watts, is ETL approved and is rated for approximately 200 consecutive seals or up to two hours of operation.
