How is Background Checked for Online Firearm Purchases?

If you are buying a gun online, you are required to submit to a background check through the National Instant Criminal Background Check System or (NICS). Once you fill out ATF Form 4473 this information will be relayed to the NICS, and you will be able to continue with the purchase of your firearm.

Do I Need an FFL to Purchase a Gun?
