Description
John Crews is a very talented and multifaceted angler and he demands his tackle and equipment to be perfect. That's why he teamed up with Cashion Rods to design a series of technique-specific rods with all of the features he needs to excel with some of his most productive applications. Each of the Cashion John Crews Signature Series Casting Rods feature a lightweight, ultra sensitive blank and premium Fuji components, including Fuji guides and Fuji ECSM reel seats. The actions, lengths and tapers are all hand picked and tested by John Crews, and like all Cashion Rods they feature Cashion's signature carbon fiber grips for increased durability and sensitivity transfer.
The John Crews Signature Frog Rod features the proper blank length and power to cast accurately and work a frog properly. John was adamant in getting every detail correct, and make it the best frog rod on the market for dragging toads out of the jungle. The tip has a little softness to cast accurately, but the rod has plenty of power to blast a hook set. It also features "tweener" #5 size Fuji guides, which won't clog with slop and debris.
The right blank for a squarebill crankbait is almost impossible to find, so Cashion Rods and Crews designed the John Crews Signature Squarebill Rod. John was very exact on the power he required without sacrificing the required moderate-fast action. Featuring a carbon fiber blank to maximize sensitivity, the medium heavy power allows you to control big fish, and the moderate-fast tip increases hook-up percentages. Since applications of squarebill fishing require straight fluorocarbon or monofilament fishing line, the Crews Squarebill Rod was designed with microguides to maximize sensitivity, casting distance, and accuracy.
The best rod on the market for fishing smaller jigs, senkos, Texas rigs, and soft plastics on wobble heads, John was adamant in getting every detail correct on the John Crews Signature Worming Fishing Rod .
Crews says, "This 7'2" Worming Rod is one I will always have tied up because it is perfect for some of the techniques I count on almost everyday on the water. The rod being counter balanced is something you will not want to live without once you fish with it."
There is a counter balance weight in the butt to make the rod balanced in your hand. It will actually feel lighter in your hand because of the "tip up" balance point. The balanced rod also is more sensitive because the slightest bump will pull the balance off and be transmitted down the super sensitive blank and Fuji guides. It features "tweener" #5 size Fuji guides, which are not as small as Cashion microguides but not as large as conventional guides.
Please Note: 7'11 Heavy Punching Rod features Spiral Wrapped Guides.
