The Taurus Model 942 is a lightweight revolver in .22 LR with an 8 round cylinder that functions in double or single action modes of fire. With a 3" barrel the Model 942 is a good compromise between a 2" snub nosed concealed carry revolver and a 4" service size revolver. For plinking, hunting small game, or inexpensive training the 3" barrel fits the bill. Since the Model 942 is chambered in the soft shooting .22 LR it is perfect to teaching new shooters or for shooters that are recoil sensitive and unable to shoot a larger caliber. The soft polymer grip readily absorbs the mild recoil of the .22 LR. An 8 round cylinder means you can spend more time shooting and less time reloading.
