- 2018 Fin Feather Fur Bowfishing Tournament – July 14 & 15
Sign up for the Fin’s 3rd Annual Bowfishing Tournament, July 14 & 15, 2018! Top three placing teams will qualify for a cash prize! Half of the tournament fees will be donated to St. Jude Research Hospital. We typically raise over $500.00 for St. Jude’s from this event alone. Limit 50 teams!
This year all teams who participate will receive a 10% discount coupon on all bowfishing equipment to use before July 14th.
To sign up call 419-281-2257 and speak with the Archery department. We must have 15 teams by Saturday June 30th or we will cancel the tournament. All teams will get a phone call if the tournament is cancelled or anything changes after you have signed up.
Details: Registration from 3-4pm on Saturday July 14th at the Ashland Fin, all team members from each team must show up to check in and receive rules and regulations packet. If you do not check in and receive your packet, you team will be disqualified. Teams will be released after 4pm rules & regulations meeting.
Weigh in will be on Sunday July 15th at 2pm at the Ashland Fin Feather Fur parking lot (details will be given at check in/registration). The top three teams with the heaviest total amount of fish will be paid out. Pay outs will be determined by how many teams sign up. 50% of the entry fee will be paid out to the top 3 teams and 50% will be sent to St. Jude’s. All fish entered must come from Public waters. NO private ponds. Team entry fees are $75.00 per team and must be paid in cash on June 30th or before. Cash only entry.
NO Grass Carp will be added for total weight. All other fish are legal for weighing. If you team is not checked in at the weigh-in by 2pm, every minute you are late will take 1 pound off your team’s total weight.
Teams are made up of 3 members, any questions call 419-281-2557 and ask for Archery Department. They will be conducting the entire tournament.

1st place- $300
3rd place- $100
Prizes will vary depending on the number of teams participating.

Saturday, June 16th – Explorers of Nature
For kids ages 4 to 15 to discover nature! Follow the link to sign up and download a waiver. Attend three or more Explorers of Nature programs during the season to earn a limited edition prize! Registration required at the park office. $5 per participant or $30 for all 8 sessions through August! Meet at the Nature Center.
Saturday, June 21st – Twilight Kayak Tours
8pm: Enjoy a kayak tour of Pleasant Hill Lake and watch the sun set over the lake! Bring your own equipment or borrow ours. $25 per participant includes gate fee, instruction, and equipment! Pre-registration & waivers are required for all participants. Must be 12 years-old.
Saturday, June 24th – Hidden History Kayak Tours
9:30am-11am: Explore the hidden history under the waters of Pleasant Hill Lake. What happened from Helltown to Newville that caused their disappearances. Kayak tour led by Irv Oslin and Louis Andres, co-authors of the new book about the 80-year history of the park and the local community. Cost $25/person or Bring your own equipment $15/person. Ages: 12 years & older. Equipment: includes boat & equipment or bring your own. Acitvity level: Easy/Moderate. Complete waiver required for all participants.

9pm: Enjoy a kayak tour of Pleasant Hill Lake by the light of the full moon! Bring your own equipment or borrow ours. $25 per participant includes gate fee, instruction, and equipment! Pre-registration & waivers are required for all participants. Must be 12 years-old.
